Course description:
The Aviation Electronics Technology is a specialization within electronic maintenance and repair in aircraft electronic systems with emphasis placed on communication, navigation and flight management systems.
A UPHSD graduate Aviation Electronics Technology program will attain:
1. An ability to be familiarize with the basic parts and principles of flight;
2. An ability to understand and applying the principles, theories and concepts regarding aircraft electrical/electronics parts, components and systems;
3. An ability to recognize the concept in operation, servicing and maintenance of aircraft component;
4. An ability to be able to follow procedures, direction and written instruction according in AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANUAL (AMM); WIRING DIAGRAM MANUAL (WDM); COMPONENT MAINTENANCE MANUAL (CMM);
5. An ability to have knowledge in aircraft maintenance practices;
6. An ability to understand the regulation particularly in aviation airworthiness;
The Aviation Electronics Technology program has a total of 198 credit units. The program consists of the general education, technical courses, allied courses, professional courses and on-the-job training.
